Outdoor Wednesday ~ The Nunnery!

The Broken Arrow Nunnery is going down...
local mother's can no longer threaten their daughters with,
"If you don't straighten up, I'm sending you to the Nunnery!"
Even this step mom said that at least once.
(Taken from across the street.)
Our Lady of Sorrows Convent has been abandoned for a couple years
and it was recently announced that this building will be demolished
(more here).
With grand visions. I drove to the nunnery this morning.
I was looking forward to
capturing unusual shots of the statues in the courtyard and maybe even
venturing inside to take photos of the stained glass.
Those plans got snuffed out...
Don't tell anyone,
but I got kicked off the property for trespassing!
I was so disappointed.
I'm sharing this little adventure with
"Outdoor Wednesday" (here).

  1. What a shame you couldn't get the photo's, maybe they will have an open day or something before the building finally disappears.

  2. At least you tried to take some pictures of the nunnery before the building is torn down.
