Our World Tuesday ~ The Big Blowup!

Finally a beautiful day and in the 60's!
So what did we do?
We rounded up a couple of our nephews,
took them out for target practice and
to blowup an old TV.
On the count of three...
Then they took a bat to it
and did what boys do so well.
 Sure, before the Big Blowup,
Uncle Steve instructed and
reminded them of gun safety too.
We made great memories!

Our World Tuesday ~ Tulsa Crazy for Garth!

You definitely can tell Garth Brooks loves his fans in Tulsa, OK!
He came home to his home state,
where he scheduled his concerts
to the demand of fans wanting tickets.
There will be seven nearly sold out shows altogether.
(Roughly 70,000 people attending Brooks’
first performances in Tulsa in 17 years.)
We were at his fourth show over the weekend,
and there will be three more shows next weekend.
Our world has been an out pouring of love to this
great man's return to the Tulsa stage.
I love the way Tulsa prepared for this long awaited event...
they temporarily changed the names of streets (here),
and how our downtown area prepared for his arrival (here).
This shows how much we love our homeboy,
even those of us that aren't really country music fans!
(All photos and videos taken with my iPhone.)

5 Resolutions for 2015

Rather then resolutions, I like to think of these as goals and practices for 2015
(Took this with my iPhone because of these cheerful colors
and I love the buns.)
1)  Never let photography get in the way of enjoying life. Get in the shots too!
(Hubby took this of me shooting the grandkids,
with his iPhone while they were twirling on
the carousel at BassPro.
I feel dizzy when I look at this...)
2)  Print your photos, they will make you and your guests happy.
3)  Never hoard your photographic insight ~ share it with the world.
4)  Learn more about RAW and get off Auto Focus more often.
5)  Go outside & shoot photos rather than spending hours a day on photography forums and your nose in photography magazines.
(Taken  with iPhone NYE on our walk between dinner
and dessert at Bricktown, in OKC.)
I plan to go out there, make some great shots,
learn from the failures, and have fun
