Flickr Macro Mondays ~ Go Together Like

Monday the 26th theme description is:

"... make a photograph where the subject is two things that belong together such as a lock and key or are improved when paired together such as chocolate and coffee. In other words, "goes together like _______ and _______"."

Oh, Lord, what "goes together like __________________ and __________________" ?  Right now it's hard to think of something that isn't food related.  I don't want to go buy something to complete this theme, which I've done before.  I've been struggling with this project a bit more then usual.  Here's an idea, "donuts and coffee"; I'm trying to start a diet and KNOW walking into a donut shop would be a bad idea!  And what about "peas and carrots"?  That might be more accommodating to my diet plan but I bet there will be a bunch of those photographed.  Always second guessing myself (chagrin) which I wish burned calories!  This is the way my mind works.

I finally settled on "pen and ink" after finding an old calligraphy kit; I never used. I got it for an uncommon use, etching on metal ...long story.  Maybe one day I'll share that project.

Yesterday I had some senior moments with settling down to take my macros.  First I thought  both my batteries were dead, so I charged them which takes a long time and ended up loosing my natural light.  When I tried to get going this morning my problem actually was a full memory card. Figures!

Anyway, I finally got started this morning and shot a couple new ideas.  "Mason jars and moonshine", also "rock and roll" ( as a joke mainly because this group is PG, lol).  Anyway I entered the last one to see what the reaction was and if they have any sense of humor besides this one and the "moonshine and mason jar" had NOT been taken yet.

These macro projects are good to keep my brain active, which I like, and the art involved in photography always satisfies my creative nature. Not that I can completely execute it as I would like, which frustrates the heck out of me.  That's part of the process of learning and growing in photography and in life.
Happy Click'n!
