Project 2 ~ Light Table Photographing Fruit

Years ago I admired a series of photographs shot of thinly sliced citrus fruit on a light table and I've tried shooting similar shots a few times since then. The original photographer is unknown to me, but it has been copied many times, not just by me.  I'd have to say those photos were part of a series at that time and I don't see them much anymore.  But I am still trying to duplicate that capture to this day.  Googling the process hasn't helped much, but I did find this link.  (Which advised the shutter speed of 1/200, ISO  of 100-200, and adjust the f stop accordingly.)  I shot the following handheld  as I don't yet have an attachment for my tripod that will allow my camera to be extended and hangover something I wish to photograph.  I used my light table to allow back lighting inside my light box and my Sony a6400 set on A with a 100mm Canon macro lens.

The greens came out pretty good, but I need to learn what I'm doing wrong with warm colors such as yellow and orange.  Probably a setting I forgot to change.  I love yellow flowers though they frustrate me when I try to photograph them...the details/sharpness doesn't pop like I would like.

Last week's Crazy Tuesday group on Flick'r theme was fruit.  I really like the kiwi slice pattern with the ring of seeds so I submitted that shot.  (This isn't a macro group and they don't have a restriction against this genre so I entered it.)
