I almost passed on this Macro Monday theme: Pasta. I thought it kind of boring. I had meal planning to do and so I turned this photo shoot into fun and a productive event one afternoon. Nothing like multi tasking to get things done! Dinner, check. Completing MM theme, check.
Flickr's theme consisted of:
"Your “Pasta” photo can be of uncooked, cooked or be part of a pasta dish. It will greatly help us if you tell us the name of your pasta."
I chose tricolor spiral pasta as my subject. I cooked it, then played with it a bit, sampling as I went, then turning it into a salad with lots of good and bad things mixed in, adding a little Italian Dressing and dinners done.

I can't decide if these shots are slightly out of focus or just simply slimy looking. I snacked on them though, and they tasted perfectly al dente, the way I like them. Probably my eyes are just out of focus. Which should I submit this Monday, Sept. 2? Only one is allowed. I'm leaning toward the third shot.
Update: I submitted #3. It was just a little different then what had already been submitted to MM.

Pasta is my family's favorite! And these pictures are great.
ReplyDeleteI like the Three Amigos....the second one. Who would have guessed that pasta would make a great shot. And wouldn't the top one make a great jigsaw puzzle?
