Flickr Macro Monday ~ Lids
This week the theme Macro Monday is "Lids". After a crazy week of being my hubby's personal assistant, I didn't get busy on this shoot until yesterday. (He had PRK on one of his eyes, a little over a week ago, and got an infection. So far the infection is getting better and his sight is a bit clearer, so things hopefully will settle down and he will continue to get better.)
My aunt gave me this perfume bottle when I was a preteen. The lid is sterling silver on a cut glass bottle. I stuffed mini lights inside to give the glow.
I photographed the lid before for a macro theme but without the mini lights, so this isn't the first time to share this treasured keepsake.

A slightly different angle.
I also took the below photo to show off the pretty bokeh the mini lights made.
A big ball of sparkly bokeh.
This afternoon
I went back to the drawing board and added the stopper
and made it black and white.
I believe I will upload the above shot to Macro Monday.
Which would you submit?

ReplyDeleteIt is fascinating to see how different things look when we take a closer look. Each of these shots are lovely.

ReplyDeleteI love the first photo too but it's SUCH a beautiful perfume bottle. I have a collection of small ones I've had for years! Enjoy your day!
