Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving will be this Katie's 18 week anniversary of her stroke.
What a blessing her recovery has been!
Reminder to all:
Don't forget to turn your bathroom scales back
15 lbs. at 1:00 am on the
Wednesday before Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Holidays are always a busy time, emotionally draining and most of all a time to be thankful. I'm thankful I have a place and people to spend this holiday. I'm a big believer in the Hawaiian custom called Ohana which refers to a person's extended family, which can include friends and other important social groups. I also think of those that have no place to go for holidays or family gatherings and include them as well in my definition of Ohana. With a fractured family such as ours this time of year is difficult though it brings back happy memories of better times, so I try to remember and enjoy the current blessings we have!
I pray you can and will do the same
and are blessed with a very special Thanksgiving!
we have a fracture family also, but bob and I have each other and our beautiful big boy. that is our Ohana. we will be eating at Golden Corral. have had TG lunch there for about 10 years. Have a good day with whom ever you are with. we can be thankful for what we have even if we are alone. so glad your kitty Katie is doing well. I did not realize cats can have strokes even though I know dogs do. hugs and love coming you way through space
ReplyDeleteAnd you don't have to cook, blessing one! We went to the beach one year for Christmas just the two of us. That was so nice to walk hand in hand on the beach without a football game blasting in the back ground. Enjoy your day together Sandra! PS Katie is about 17 and has been pretty health up until now, so that's a blessing. She walks pretty good until her back legs reach her front legs and she tilts..... the drunk kitty walk only makes her cuter!!
DeleteWishing you abundant blessings this Thanksgiving.
