Mural Mondays ~ The Tulsa Sound

Having grown up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this mural has a lot of meaning to me and is dear to my heart.  In the '70s, this was an exciting place to call home! For those who aren't aware of the Tulsa Sound this defines it well.
"The Tulsa Sound is a popular musical style that originated in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the second half of the twentieth century. It is a mix of rockabilly, country, rock 'n' roll, swamp rock, and blues sounds of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Artists considered to have pioneered the Tulsa Sound include J. J. Cale, Leon Russell, Elvin Bishop, Jesse Ed Davis, Gus Hardin, Roger Tillison, Eric Clapton, Rocky Frisco, Clyde Stacy, Flash Terry, Roy Clark, The Tractors, Steve Ripley, David Teegarden, Jeff Carson While in, Chuck Blackwell, and The Zigs."

Can you imagine seeing George Harrison and Leon Russell together walking down a sidewalk together as a teenager?  Holy moly...if only I had a smartphone back then.  I proudly share this mural with Mural Mondays on Colorfulworld (here).
Enjoy your day!
