Crazy Tuesday ~ Bubbles
This was my first time to photograph bubbles.  While at Walmart I was able to find some children's bubbles with a wand.  Pretty inexpensive compared to the solution you can make at home with glycerin and clear liquid soap (1 to 4 solution) only 97 cents.  But if you have those ingredients anyway, go for it.
I used a metal jigger to pour the liquid in and then used a bendy straw to blow air into the solution. The bubbles will pop and will have to make bubbles several times, and with a regular straw you may get a mouthful of soap!  I shot this on a black background, and outside because I didn't like the reflections I was getting inside.
I tried to catch a popping bubble but I was just too slow.  I'll have to give that idea some thought and another try.  It's warmer here then last week otherwise these might have been frozen.  That is a thing.  And might add to the fun of photographing bubbles.
Enjoy your day!

Frozen bubbles would definitely be easier C'nC, but then you wouldn't captured the gorgeous abstract you have here 😊
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this, I haven’t in a while. I used to try and capture the bubble popping when my kids blew bubbles. In response to your question about the barns, they are just everywhere. If I run out of them around here I just take a drive and find hundreds more.
ReplyDeleteInteresting formation.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well in your world...been watching for a new post...
ReplyDeleteI have never tried photographing bubbles like this but have a few somewhere of kids making bubbles. Not near what you captured. I need to try your way.
