Flickr Macro Mondays ~ Brands and Logos
I'm not a brand or logo dropper. I generally purchase what I think is a good brand or best price for what you get. I didn't know what I might own that would be a nice capture for this theme. So I reached for one of my mom's china cups and saucers. And I got started....

This week's Flickr Macro Mondays theme is Brand ~ "brand is a name, term, design, symbol or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers. Name brands are sometimes distinguished from generic or store brands. Remember that we are using brands and logos and for this need to respect the use of them."
Oil Pastels
I can't wait to get my light box for taking macros. The lighting
will be so much better. Whoopee!
A Clapper....everyone needs applause!
Flickr has been making changes to their website and I think that's what caused me to get locked out of my account. I created a new one this week. They don't, nor anyone else seems to know why this happen. I think it is a password issue. I ran across one of my favorite quotes while doing this, which I think is a great philosophy to live by....

My favorite photo is the pastel and the clapper.
Looking forward to your comments or suggestions.
Enjoy your day and...
Happy Click'n!
That is a fantastic quote!
ReplyDeleteI recently decided to break away from Flickr. I was having so much trouble with uploads. Now my main back-up is SmugMug.Intersting pictures you have shared.
ReplyDeletewe have two pastel paintings of our dogs, done by an artist. I also know an artist in our TOPS groups. they both told me they work only in pastels, which I had no clue what that meant. with your macro shot, now I know. kind of like a cross between a crayon and chalk.. I like the clapper for my pick
ReplyDeleteFYI, pastels also come in a chalk/dry form too, which I find are easier to blend when drawing. But that might just be me. I got these oil pastels for a jewelry making project several years ago. They were used in applying a patina to a roughened metal disc then heated for it to bond. When drawing they feel like using a grease pencil....wonder if they still make those? Enjoy your day!
DeleteCrisp, clear macros and nicely done.
