Confessions of a Candy Addict

I am a candy addict.
Yes, a candy addict.

My problem, isn't just a sweet tooth.
I bought 3 candy bars Saturday, I ate two in bed before falling asleep.
I confess, I did it. I didn't want to share with my grand kids.
I'm a BAD GRANDMA!
On Sunday, during the drive home, my husband was asleep
so I stopped for a pop and another candy bar.
So I drank my pop and ate two candy bars.
Luckily, he didn't wake up.
I wasn't found out,
but I share my secret here.
And it didn't stop...
Monday, I ran to the store for groceries
and I bought a couple bags of Halloween candy.
Then I hid them.
THAT'S A BAD SIGN.
Yep, I have a problem here.

So today (Thursday), I'm going cold Turkey!
I gave the candy away to a neighbor with kids,
so I wouldn't dig it out of the trash. Gross.

NO MORE CANDY!!!
(Who told Kinley I had candy and didn't share?)

Does it really take 21 days to break a habit?
I hope the withdrawal won't be too painful...

Trying to enjoy my day
and I hope you do too!

  1. Hello, my name is Sandra and I am a candy addict, I also am a pie, cake, ice cream, donut addict. I not only sneak candy and hide it, I buy a box of dounut holes and eat all of them on the way home. I also at Christmas time buy a box of choc covered cherries and eat the whole box on the way home. I am here to tell you, you can break the habit. I went cold turkey on anything with processed sugar, on Jan 26, 2017.
I just stopped and after 21 days I do not even miss it. not one grain has passed my lips since then. I am 65 pounds lighter. the thing is, in 1979 I did the same thing and lost 100 pounds. for 7 years I never touched sugar. then my parents came for a visit and I ate ONE ice cream cone. and I was off to the candy store and hidng the wrappers from others. now I know, I am fine as long as I never touch candy again. I have eaten a 6 pack of milkways all by myself in one day

  3. I am sitting here laughing at the other's comments...not sure which is funnier. I share with my grandchild, but I must admit that I can remember hiding a candy bar to have it all to myself before! When my girls were young.

  4. I confess that I am a crunchy snack addict. I don't crave sweets, I love chips, pretzels, and the like.
